SET OF 2 JORGEN KASTHOLM ‚JK730‘ ARMCHAIRS, GERMANY 1960s

Fantastic and very rare pair of Jørgen Kastholm lounge chairs, model JK730, produced by Kill International, Germany, late 1960s. Featuring a brushed flat steel frame and thick, dark brown leather upholstery.

The matching 2-seater and 3-seater sofas are also available. Photos will be added soon.

Thanks to its slightly reclined seating position and elegantly curved armrests, the JK730 is exceptionally comfortable. It is a particularly fascinating model, as it is encountered far less frequently than Kastholm’s famous FK 6725 Tulip Chair or the Grasshopper Chaise.

Designed during Kastholm’s mature creative period, the JK730 beautifully illustrates his transition from traditional Danish wooden furniture towards an international, architectural design language based on steel and leather.

For this reason, it is somewhat lesser known among the general public, yet highly appreciated by collectors precisely because of its rarity.

The chairs are in very good, well-maintained vintage condition.
