RARE TUBULAR STEEL, ALUMINIUM & BROWN LEATHER 2-SEATER SOFA, GERMANY 1960s

Exceptionally rare and striking two-seater sofa featuring a chrome-plated tubular steel frame, aluminum seat shell, and beautifully aged brown leather cushions. Germany, circa 1960s.

This remarkable piece combines refined industrial design with warm, organic materials. The elegant interplay of aluminum, leather, and chrome embodies the sophisticated modernism of the era.

According to the previous owner, whose late husband was an architect, much of their furniture was acquired in Munich during the 1960s and 1970s. It is therefore possible that this sofa may have been a prototype or one-off custom design, further enhancing its uniqueness and collector appeal.

The sofa offers superb comfort and a distinctive sculptural presence — a perfect statement piece for both vintage and contemporary interiors.
