Absolutely stunning pair of Preben Fabricius & Jorgen Kastholm lounge chairs, Model “6720”, for Kill International – solid flat steel and leather, Germany, 1960s.

A design classic of the highest caliber – these iconic chairs were created by the renowned Danish designer duo Preben Fabricius & Jorgen Kastholm and produced around 1968 by the German manufacturer Kill International. Model 6720, with its armrests wrapped in leather straps, is considered a prime example of Scandinavian modernism paired with German engineering excellence.

Fabricius & Kastholm studied together at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen and, during the 1960s, designed a number of groundbreaking furniture pieces characterized by their uncompromising choice of materials, technical precision, and clean lines. Their work for Kill International was showcased at events such as the Cologne Furniture Fair and is now highly sought after among collectors of mid-century modern design.

The chairs show some heavier signs of use in places (see photos). A small piece of leather is missing from the lower front part of the leather-covered frame. Overall, however, the chairs are in excellent condition for their age and have lost nothing of their quality or comfort.

As we deal in vintage furniture, signs of use are inevitable and part of the nature of pre-owned items. We therefore only point out more significant flaws and damages with separate images. Nonetheless, we always strive to capture the condition of the items as accurately as possible and to the best of our knowledge.
