A beautifully designed and immaculately preserved “Onda” armchair by Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti, Italy, dating from the 1970s.
Striking to look at and incredibly comfortable to sit in, thanks in large part to its generous proportions.
Giovanni Offredi began his career in the 1950s working for the renowned architect and designer Gio Ponti. He later collaborated with major Italian companies such as Saporiti, Knoll International, and Cassina. Over his career, Offredi designed a wide range of products, from furniture and lighting to household appliances and office equipment. Known for his functional design approach, he aimed to create pieces that were both practical and aesthetically appealing.
Some of his most famous designs include the “Sella” chair for Saporiti, the “Modulo” sofa for Knoll International, and the “Mega” storage system for Cassina.
