Beautiful and rare Hartmut Lohmeyer for Wilkhahn model 400 teak armchair with rattan cane backrest and bouclé seat cushion, Germany, 1960s.
The seat cushions have been newly made.
Hartmut Lohmeyer trained as an architect at the Technical University in Karlsruhe, where he studied under Egon Eiermann before becoming a furniture designer. During the 1950s and 1960s, he created a range of residential furniture for Wilkhahn.
An absolutely stunning design — of the highest craftsmanship and exceptionally comfortable to sit in.
