Absolutely fantastic “Tube” two-seat sofa, designed by Carlo Bartoli for Rossi di Albizzate, Italy, 1990s.
The Tube Sofa was designed in 1995 by Anna & Carlo Bartoli (Bartoli Design) for the Italian premium furniture manufacturer Rossi di Albizzate. The design reinterprets the futuristic and Pop aesthetics of the 1960s through a modern, sculptural design language.
Its defining features are the distinctive tubular form, the exposed aluminium supports, and its clean, instantly recognizable silhouette.
For its outstanding design, the Tube Sofa received the iF Award for Good Industrial Design. In recognition of its exceptional design quality, it was also selected for the Italian “Design Italiano” postage stamp series—an honour awarded to only a small number of iconic Italian design classics.
This sofa has been professionally reupholstered in Kvadrat Coda fabric in pink and rose tones, consisting of 90% wool and 10% polyester.
The frame is constructed from aluminium tubing with a polyurethane foam core, making the sofa exceptionally comfortable to sit on.
